Day Program Havana Pure 15 hour danceclases 2011

Havana Pure is the base of all our dance holidays in Cuba. In week 1 you will have a intensive dance course at our danceschool in Havana. In the 2nd week you will have the choice to spend time in either Varadero, Trinidad, Santiago de Cuba, Playa del Este for 4 days, or to stay in Havana. The last 3 days we will all be back in Havana, where we will spend the next 2 days at the danceschool to get it truly right and end the trip with a big Fiesta Cubana.
Day 1) Arrivel at Havana
Arrival at the airport of Havana, where Pedro and Alex are waiting for you to take you to your hotel or casa particular.
Day 2) Start dance classes and for every participant an own dancepartner
In the morning we start off with an welcome drink and a short explanation of the dance program. After this you will get a short tour through Havana Vieja (the old town) mainly to show you where you can find the important shops and the bank. In the afternoon the real dance program will start. The team of viaDanza will give you demonstrations of dance styles and tell you about the history of the Cuban music and dance. Afterwards every participant will be appointed an level of experience. At night we jump straight into the swinging nightlife of Havana.
Day 3) Lessons at the dance school in Havana
After breakfast you will go to the dance school in Havana where you will participate
the lessons from 10:00 am till 1:00 pm.In the afternoon you can bring a visit to the “Castilla de la Fuarza”. This Castilla is the oldest fortress of Havana. Here you can look at the famous statue “La Geraldina”. This female figure is the symbol of Havana. You probable recognise her from the Havana Club rum label. At night we go party again with the group.
Day 4) A visit to the rum museum and a salsa matinee
In the morning you start off with your daily three hours dance classes. Afterwards
you can join one of the tours through the rum museum at Havana. In the afternoon
it is possible to join the group to visit a salsa matinee at one of the Casa de la Musica”.
If you decide to do something different this day, we like to suggest a stroll at the
“Malecon”, also known as the boulevard of passion. At night we go to another salsa club or concert.
Day 5) Ernest Hemingway tour
After your dance classes in the morning you can wander around in the old part of the city. There is also the possibility to have a small Hemingway style bar crawl. In Floridita, the favorite bar of this famous writer, you can enjoy a fredhly made daiquiri, a drink created by "Papa", as the Cubans used to call Hemingway. Another interesting bar is "La Bodequita", the place where the mojito was invented. Search in this bar between all the other autographs and scribbles on the wall the autograph of Hemingway. At the end of this day we'll be swinging the night away with lots more salsa.
Day 6) The dancefloors of Havana where it's hip and happening every night
Goodmorning! Today you will have your last dance classes of the first week.
You have had 5 course days now and even the beginners should be able to fully enjoy Havana's nightlife and dance the night away. For some, that booked Havana Pure, this really will be the last class and especially for them we organize a going away party.
The ViaDanzateam will keep you informed (every day!) about concerts, salsa and the local entertainment calendar.
The last night we dive into the exciting nightlife of Havana.
Day 7 ) Last day in the city of Havana and back home
Today is all yours. You can enjoy the city of Havana for the last time. Maybe buy those last souvenirs to take home or have a city trip in one of the tourist busses going around Havana. Later this day your transport will arrive to take you to the airport.
Day 8) Arrivel in Europe
Arrivel in Europe, at this moment it is "Goodbye Havana"
